JQ! started as a website devoted to the propagation of Japanese anime on April,2006. Often changing its site template to cope with every passing season, JQ! started to evolve into its present form by December, 2006. JQ! was temporarily suspended on March 7-10, 2009 because it was "associated with a set of accounts created within a block of IPs that were found to contain malicious, fruadulent, or otherwise illegal content."
